Standing Tall Workshop

Hi!

The Standing Tall Workshop was reaffirming with the discussion of ethics that are still applicable and essential in education today.

The session was quick, to the point, and very informative.

One of my new principals attained from this work is:

Wag More, Bark Less.

I would recommend this course/class to anyone, and I will recommend it to all of my colleagues and staff members.

Thanks for sharing the awesome!!

The Code of Ethics I desire to live by: (Standing Tall/Cowboy Ethics)

Well, it was an interesting class to attend. I seldom give enough thought about what I am doing/saying and end up needing to apologize or change what I said. To solidify what I desire to stand for is helping me stay on track and grow in the way I desire. Thank you Mr. Knoble and Boys and Girls Club of South Park.

2. Speak with humility and kindness.
3. "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." The Bible
4. Gratitude is an attitude.
5. Life is 10% about what happens to us and 90% about how we respond to it. /When riding through hell, keep on riding!

Steamboat Springs presentation 11/14/14

I thought that this was an excellent presentation on a very valuable topic. I formulated my 8 point code and keep it at my desk as a reminder. I was very happy to see such a large turnout especially with so many younger participants.

Standing Tall Feedback

This program has truly inspired to do more and become a better me.  One of my favorite Principles although not original is "All it takes is all you've got".  That speaks volumes to me and inspires me to accomplish more. Thank you for this opportunity.

Standing Tall

Good morning!

I attended the Standing Tall and Cowboy Ethics training that was held in Casper, WY a couple of weeks ago, and I loved it! I was a little unsure about what I would get from it that I could use in my classroom that wasn’t something extra and time consuming, but I know now that I can easily blend some of these things into the way I already run my classroom. It was particularly helpful to spend some time writing our own code and timeline, and that is something I am still working on, so I can share it with people.

One thing I wrote down from that day that I want to incorporate into my own code is, “Dare to reach your hand into the darkness to pull another hand into the light.” This really resonated with me not just as a teacher but as a Christian woman.

Thank you so much for taking the time!

I am inspired!

Kent -
Thank you for coming to Steamboat Springs, Colorado and sharing your program.
I saw the Code of the West poster a couple of years ago in a store and liked it and bought it; it's been hanging in my 17 year old son's bedroom.  Seeing the Cowboy Ethics Standing Tall program advertised locally, I was intrigued to see how these fit together.  My son, a high school senior, attended your workshop with me.  He is now very interested in bringing Cowboy Ethics to his county 4-H Council and local 4-H Clubs.
For me, I was in a bit of a slump with my leadership skills and this program "picked me up by my boot straps" so to speak.  My favorite principles are:  (1) is to do the right thing, whether someone is watching or not, always acting in an ethical manner that is fair and just; (2) Make someone's day!  Whether this is being accountable to a co-worker, sharing a smile with a patient or exceeding a customer's expectation.
Enjoy your winter!
Thanks again,
Lisa

Steamboat Springs Meeting

Kent,

Thank you for your presentation last Friday at Steamboat Springs.  I thoroughly enjoyed the program and will take many of the messages back to my employer.  The focus on values strongly resonates with me.

Something my Grandmother always told her children and grandchildren when they felt defeated or were afraid to try something new or difficult has awlways stayed with me.

Feedback from Standing Tall Program

Kent,

Thank you for sharing the Standing Tall program with leaders on the Western Slope of Colorado.  Simply stated, what you share is life-changing.  I have given much thought to my code, I will continue to work on it over the next few weeks, and then I will begin sharing it with family, friends.  The code I have been practicing is "Happiness is a choice - I'm happy because I choose".

Thank you,

Standing Tall November 7

Thank you Kent for an engaging and thought-provoking afternoon.  As always, I am pleased to be walking this road with you.  I love the inspiration to make my own Code and more importantly, to share it and then live it!   My favorite Principle is my Impact Principle "Be Somebody Who Makes Everybody Feel Like a Somebody."  I currently have it hanging in my office.  Thank you, my friend!

Standing Tall

Hi Kent,
Thank you for a great afternoon. Living ones life by The Cowboy Code and The Ten Commandments should be simple but we all need reminders from time to time.
I have two grown kids and when they start getting off track I use the same saying. "You are only going to be on the face of the earth one time, you better make the best of it"

Thanks Again

Standing Tall

Hello,
I attended the session in Fairplay, CO. I hold contracts in CO and AZ as a psychologist who works with juvenile delinquents. Cowboys Ethics may be the way to reach some of these youth.
I love Ride for the Brand. Loyalty in so many avenues of our lives make living worthwhile.
Thank you,
Dr. Minette Doss

tremendous experience!

I attended a Standing Tall workshop delivered by Kent Noble in Casper, WY. This was an incredible opportunity, possibly one of the most reflective experiences I have ever had the opportunity to participate in. The challenge to bring ethics and values to my students in such a meaningful way is huge, but one I am up to taking on. This experience will hopefully grow them in ways that they may not realize until later in life.
One of my personal codes that I came away with is, "Every day deserves 110% - all it takes is all you've got".

Feedback

I'm so pleased that I was invited to attend the event in Fairplay. It has been on my mind since then and was a form of follow-up from an article I read in Range Magazine which lead to me going online and ordering James Owens book called Cowboy Ethics, What Wall Street could learn from cowboys.

One of my principles is: Say what you mean and mean what you say.

Feedback

The Standing Tall Workshop was great.  I was able to think clearly about where I stand and how I want to live each day.  The code that stuck out the most to me was regarding "The Try" principle:  Don't wish it was easier, wish you were better.

Re: Standing Tall/Cowboy Ethics Follow Up

I am happy to provide some feedback for the Standing Tall workshop I attended in Casper November 7.
The length of the presentation was well done- the pacing was coordinated well, and we were able to get through the content without feeling sluggish at any point.
The material is invaluable- I only wish it reached more people! I look forward to reading the books by Jim Owen.
I know that this workshop will translate into more of a drive for me to live with my passions and values in the forefront.
My code is included in my signature.
Thank you very much for this amazing experience!

Standing Tall feedback

Kent’s class in Jackson was nothing short of superb. I’m focused on getting him to return, and have found some options to start a youth program in Teton County.

Carpe Diem with utmost integrity.
Lift others up, listen more, and happiness will follow.
Strive for happiness, it’s your decision.
